Vision 2008

Vision 2008 is a three-year strategic plan created by the Butte County Economic Development Corporation (BCEDC), in association with CEPCO, with the primary goal of fostering the economic development climate in Butte County. The “Vision” behind Vision 2008 is that Butte County will become the economic, educational, recreational, medical, and services hub of the Northern California Region. Butte County will outperform peer counties in California’s Central Valley in the areas of job growth, capital investment, and increases in the per capita income, and will also preserve its key assets of quality of life and environment.

To accomplish these goals, The Vision 2008 Plan specifically focuses on the following strategies and goals:

  • Balanced Industry Mix
  • Job Growth
  • Average Earnings Per Worker
  • Capital Investment
